Thomas Dwyer

While visiting friends yesterday Thomas Dwyer, fifty-five years old, 5315 Kershaw street, was taken ill suddenly and died. He had been suffering for a number of years from heart trouble. For twenty-five years Mr. Dwyer was an inspector in the freight department of the Pennsylvania Railroad. He was a member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Fifty-second and Media streets. The funeral will be held Thursday.

Virginia Shirley

Suffering from nervous exhaustion and melancholia, Virginia Shirley, twenty-six ears old, 442 West Erie avenue, committed suicide yesterday by locking herself in a bedroom and opening a gas jet. She was found by her brother, who forced the door. She was taken to Episcopal Hospital, where physicians said she had been dead for several hours.

PAUL S. PEARSALL

Bridgeport, Conn., Nov.30 - Paul S. Pearsall, of Washington, D.C., died last night at his summer home, Black Rock, of heart disease. Mr. Pearsall, who retired from active business three years ago, inherited a large fortune from his father, Thomas W. Pearsall, a Washington banker. He was forty-nine years old and a member of the Chevy Chase and Metropolitan clubs of Washington.

MRS. ESTHER SHERMAN

Mrs. Esther Sherman, forty-seven years old, died at her home, 2606 North Twenty-ninth street, early yesterday morning. She was prominent in civic and charitable affairs for many years. Mrs. Sherman is survived by her husband, Abraham Sherman, five sons and three daughters

EDWARD COGGINS

Edward Coggins, a veteran of the Civil War, died yesterday at the Odd Fellows' Home, Seventeen and Tioga streets. He was born in this city seventy years ago and following his early education took ... outbreak of the civil war he enlisted in a Pennsylvania regiment and served through the entire war. He was a member of Apollo Lodge No. 296. I.O.O.F. and also of Greble Post #10 GAR. He is survived by a son, Charles Coggins of Pleasantville New Jersey.
