EDWARD POLLOCK
Retired Editor and Publisher was Descendant of Early Penna. Settler

EDWARD POLLOCK, a descendant of one of the early settlers of Pennsylvania died last night in the home of his son, Walter W. Pollock, 429 West Stafford street, Germantown. He was eighty-five years old.

He was born in Mount Union, Huntingdon county, Pa., in a house that was removed to make way for the Pennsylvania Railroad tracks when that railroad was built through the town and was a son of Colonel William Pollock, the founder of Mount Union and the owner of the Winchester blast furnace there, and a grandson of Thomas Pollock, who emigrated from Ballbay, Ireland, in 1780. At the age of ten years he went with his family to Cassville, Wis., where he grew up.

He was educated in the New Athens, O., University, and in the law school of Albany, New York, from which he obtained his degree. Returning to Wisconsin of the completion of his education, he took up newspaper work and founded the Lancaster Teller, of Lancaster, Wis., of which he continued a editor and proprietor forty years.

He leaves a wife and three sons - Walter W. Pollock, of this city, president of the Manufactures' Appraisal Co., E.W. Pollock of Seattle, and Burne Pollock, of Milwaukee.

WILLIAM T. SINNETT
Vice President of Market Street National Bank Had Been Ill 3 Months

After an illness of three months, WILLIAM T. SINNETT, vice president of the Market Street National Bank, died yesterday in his home in Bala. He was sixty-five years old.

Mr. Sinnett was born and educated in this city. He entered the service of the bank in 1837. He became cashier and later vice president.

Funeral services will be conducted in the St. Matthias Catholic Church, Bala, of which he was a member, at a time to be fixed by the family. Mr. Sinnett was a member of the Columbia Club and is survived by a daughter Mrs. Charles V. Reel and two sisters, the Misses Mary and Margaret Sinnett.
