Anthony E. Crowell

Anthony E. Crowell, a member of the composing room staff of the Public Ledger, died yesterday at his home, 3641 Queen lane, Falls of the Schuylkill, following an illness of two weeks of bronchitis. Mr. Crowell was a native of Maryland, He is survived by a widow and three daughters.

Mr. Crowell was an ardent advocate of the single tax theory and devoted most of his spare moments to its advancement.

James S. Kennedy

James S. Kennedy, who for a number of years was connected as an inspector with the Bureau of Street Cleaning, died yesterday in the Medico-Chirurgical Hospital, of pneumonia contracted one week ago. He resided at 112 North Lambert street, and was removed from there to the hospital on Thursday. His wife, who also is dangerously ill of pneumonia at her home, has not, on account of her condition, been informed of her husband's death.

Lewis Audenreid Rommel

Lewis Audenreid Rommel, son of the late John Rommel, formerly president of the Mechanics National Bank, died Tuesday night at his home following a long illness. Mr. Rommel is survived by his widow and two sons. He was an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania and a member of the Union League. The funeral will take place Friday afternoon.
