George E. Kissinger, 73, (architect) of 6225 Hollow Drive, East Petersburg, died Monday
at 8:20 a.m. at St. Joseph Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was the husband of Harriett Shaub Kissinger. They celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary April 26.
He was born in Milwaukee, he was a son of the late Darius and Viola Geiter Kissinger. He was of the
Lutheran faith, and was a retired registered architect. He worked at David Lynch and Associates for many
years. Prior to that, he worked as a job boss for Hamilton Watch Co. and was an architect for the Chris
Coleman firm.
In 1952, he and his wife moved to Florida and lived there until 1958, when they moved back to Lancaster County.
He was an active outdoorsman. He was a member of the American Instutute of Architecture.
Surviving besides his wife are sisters, Rachel (Rae) Curran of Lancaster;
Helen Podmajersky (b. Dec 29, 1907, d. Feb 26, 1996 / Interred St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Summit Hill, Carbon County, PA) of New Jersey.
