Search Genealogical Query Subsmissions
For a long time we have hosted genealogical queries on DistantCousin.com and this page has been a
place from which to view those queries. In order to automate the process of query submission
and update, we have teamed up to bring you a new query system located at:
CousinConnect.com.
CousinConnect.com is a highly automated,
very searchable system which allows the query poster to maintain complete control
over all his or her own queries. If your query changes as your research progresses, you simply
log on and edit your query. If you want to delete a single query or all your queries, it's as easy
as clicking a mouse to do so.
CousinConnect.com also protects
you from unwanted SPAM by hiding your e-mail address from view of robots which harvest your
address from other genealogy query sites. (Yes, that's why you get all manner of unwanted
e-mails everyday) CousinConnect.com
allows the user to e-mail you by clicking a button called "contact submitter." The person replying to your
query never sees your e-mail address and you don't have to share it with him or her unless you want to.
If that's not enough, consider that
CousinConnect.com allows you to post a
single query and connect that query to several geographical locations effortlessly. For example, say
you are researching your "Dracula" family ancestors. You write a query which on other sites you would have
to post to not only the Dracula family forum but also the forums for Romania, England (possibly several
different forums), and the state and county in which your ancestor's travelled.
With CousinConnect.com you
simply enter your query, click on the relevant countries, submit, choose relevant states, and then
choose the U.S.counties you are interested in. If you decide you want to change the geographical
locations after you have posted, it's no big deal. It is a very simple and user friendly system.
Please take CousinConnect.com
for a test drive, we're pretty sure you will be impressed!
Thank you for visiting our site. Please do come back again. And remember, we are all Distant Cousins
