Mrs. Gray Dies In Wichita, Rites Monday
Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Davis Gray, wife of Robert Gray, former
resident of Montgomery County, who died early Thursday, March 9, 1944, morning in Wichita, Sedgwick County,
Kansas, will be conducted at 10:30 o'clock Monday morning at McReynolds Chapel
by the Rec. A. W. Beasley. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
The body will arrive in Clarksville, Tennessee early Sunday.
Mrs. Gray was a native of Southside and was born Nov., 1 1892, daughter
of the late J. O. and Virginia Trotter Davis. She resided in this county, a
number of years in Clarksville, unti she moved to Wichita ten years ago.
Surviving are the husband; two sons, Robert Gray, Jr., Henry Clay Gray,
both of Wichita; four brothers, W. J. Davis, Erin; John and Ed Davis,
Southside, ad W. B. Davis, Nashville; and a sister, Mrs. Newt Weems, of
Wichita.
She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Her remains will be interred in Greenwood Cemetery, Clarksville, Tennessee
