Mr. Asher VanNest died July 22, 1866, at West Windsor, Mercer Co.,NJ. He was 34 years old. The Reverend Mr. Armstrong read the 88 Psalm at his funeral and he was buried in the Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Kingston, Somerset Co.,NJ. Mr. VanNest leaves a wife, Eleanor B. (Hunt) VanNest and two sons, John Howard and Levi Brown VanNest. A third son, William Titus VanNest, was born August 18, 1866.
