Last Saturday night Peter Barber, jr. died from alcoholism in a field in the
western part of the town. His body was found on Sunday. Coroner Smith viewed
the body, and there being no question as to the manner of death, he gave a permit for burial.
The remains were buried at Leedsville. Barber was in his 35th year.
