John Taylor, the well-known proprietor of Taylor's hotel, at Freehold, which was lately destroyed by fire, died suddenly last Thursday. Mr Taylor had been confined to his bed but a short time and the news of his death was quite a shock to his large host of friends. Mr Taylor was well known throughout the State, as it was at his hotel that the majority of people who came to attend the courts found quarters.
