Mrs. Mary White Morris died at the residence of her son, Tenbroeck W. Morris, Jersey City, on Friday of last week, in her 89th year. The remains were brought to Red Bank on Saturday, and the funeral was held from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Daniel Stillwagon, the Rev. Henry Belting officiating. The interment was made in the cemetery at Long Branch. Mrs. Morris was born in July 1798 on her father's farm at Long Branch, now owned by John Hoey. her father was William White. he was a member of the Society of Friends. Mrs. Morris was the eldest of twelve children, there being nine boys and three girls in the family - only four of whom are now living. Mrs. Morris married John B. Morris, of Long Branch, who died in 1854. Three children were norn to them, the son at whose house she died, Mrs. Stillwagon and Mrs. Joseph Tallman of Long Branch. Sixty year ago, Mrs. Morris joined the Methodist church at Branchburg and has always lived a true christian life. For the last thirty years she has made her home with Mrs. Stillwagon in Red Bank.
