J. E. Bowne, of Atlantic Highlands, died on Monday of consumption. He was one of the original proprietors of the Atlantic Highlands, and a large portion of the borough is still known as the Bowne tract. He was possessed of considerable means, and was about forty years of age. he had been in bad health for a long time, and for two months had been confined to the house. He leaves a wife and several children.
