On Friday, July 22d, Wm. A. Foster, of Scobeyville, went into his stable to care for his horse. The horse, in moving over to one side of the stable, squeezed Mr. Foster against the side of the stall. He was badly hurt, and died from the effects of the injury on Monday. Mr. Foster moved to Scobeyville from Northern New York about 25 years ago. He bought the farm formerly owned by Thomas Guest, which he had occupied ever since. He was a successful farmer. and his conduct was such as to quickly gain for him a warm place in the hearts of his neighbors. In politics he was an ardent Republican. He leaves on son, Wm. H. Foster. The funeral will take place to-morrow at his late residence at one o'clock. He was 75 years of age. Source: Red Bank Register Wednesday, August 3, 1887
