Samuel Worthley, the fourteen year-old son of John Worthley, a carpenter, of Red Bank, was drowned last Thursday. He was swimming with a number of companions when he started to swim to a boat nearby. he was tired and when he reached the boat, and in catching hold of the gunwale his hand slipped. He sank back in the water and on coming to the surface his head struck the boat. he sank and did not ??? again. It wa tenminutes or more until his companions could get him out of the water, and although efforts at recuscitation were made, they were without ???. the funeral was held last Saturday.
