Wm. Patterson, a blind man of Freehold, died last week from a tumor. He was born near Turkey, but had always resided near Freehold. By trade he was a carpenter, but about ten years ago he lost his eyesight in a curious manner. While working one day for J. J. Barkalow, an undertaker, he dropped his hammer and when he attempted to pick it up he began crying and said that he was blind. He was 56 years of age and leaves a wife but no children.
