Melzer B. Bannister, who had been a resident of Keyport for several years, died suddenly last Wednesday night. His death was not discovered until his wife went to call him to breakfast on Thursday morning. His body was then cold and rigid and he must have been dead for several hours.

Death notice lists his age as 69 years.
