Halstead Brown, who for the past nineteen years had been barkeeper of the Globe hotel, died last night at his home on Spring street. For the past two or three years he had been more or less of an invalid, though generally he was able to attend to business. He was a genial, large-hearted man, with friends all over the county. The cause of death was jaundice. The funeral will be held at his late residence on Friday afternoon at one o'clock. He leaves a widow and two children, one son and one daughter. He was the owner of a small property, and his life was insured for $1,000 in the New York Mutual life insurance company.
