Near Eatontown, on Wednesday, February 1st, Wm. Croxson, aged 75 years and 8 months.

The friends and relatives are invited to be present at the funeral at his late residence, on Saturday, february 4th, at two o'clock in the afternoon.

Source: Red Bank Register Wednesday, February 1, 1888 Wm Croxon, who died at Oceanport last Wednesday, was born at Allentown in 1812. He moved to Oceanport 45 years ago, and lived there continuously till his death. He was scrupulously honest in all his transactions, and was highly respected by the entire neighborhood. For 35 years he had been an officer of the Shrewsbury Presbyterian church/ The funeral was held on Saturday afternoon, and although the day was very stormy the house was filled. The service was conducted by the Rev. Thaddeus Wilson, and the remains were interred in the Presbyterian churchyard at Shrewsbury.
