Wm. Brown, the former owner of a large part of what is now Atlantic Highlands, died on Wednesday last at the residence of his son-in-law, John Morford, of New Monmouth. Mr. Brown had been in ill health for a long time. He leaves four children, two sons and two daughters. His sons are Wainwright Brown, of Holmdel, and Lefferts Brown, of California; and his daughters are Mrs. John Morford, of New Monmouth, and Mrs. Jane VanBrackle, of Matawan. The funeral was held on Saturday, services being held at 10:30 o'clock at the residence of John Morford, of New Monmouth, and at eleven o'clock at the New Monmouth Baptist church.

Death notice in same issue lists his age as 83 years.
