James Henry VanKirk, the eldest son of John Van Kirk, who lives near Tinton Falls, died of muscular rheumatism last Saturday morning. He was a stone citter by trade and had been a foreman of a yard in New York. He came home sick about two weeks ago. His funeral occurred Monday, and was attended by a large number of friends.

Death notice in same issue states that he died on Friday, December 30th, and was aged 29 years.
