Her marriage was a happy one and resulted in seven children. Three of the children died in infancy. The remaining four, two sons and two daughters, are grown up and happily married. Mrs. Ayres was never connected with any church, but attended divine services at the Presbyterian church at Shrewsbury. During her lonf life she was highly esteemed by all her friends and neighbors for her kindly disposition and many charities to the poor and friendless.
