Obits - NJ - Monmouth - Miss Ettie Griggs |
Death Instead of Marriage
About a month ago invitations were issued for the marriage of Miss Ettie
Griggs, of Marlboro, and C. Augustus Clayton, of Manasquan. The wedding
was to come off on Wednesday of last week, but Miss Griggs fell sick, and
died on the very day which was to have seen her made a happy bride. The
fineral was held on Saturday at the home of her grandmother, Mrs. Maria
Sutphen, of Marlboro.
