DEATH OF MRS. W. H. WILLIAMS
After a short but somewhat severe illness, Mrs. William H. Williams, wife of one of our most estimable citizens, died at her residence on
Wednesday night about 11:30 o'clock. Mrs. Williams was in her 77th year, and was born in Shrewsbury township, Monmouth County. She had
lived with her husband 55 years the 3rd of May, 1891. She had lived in Jamesburg over 33 years, and was the mother of eleven children,
five of whom survive her. The deceased was a loving, devoted mother and her husband speaks of their long married life in terms of the
highest praise for her whom he now mourns. The cause of death was old age and a breaking down of the system. The funeral will take
place to-day at 2:00 p.m., from the house, with interment in Fernwood Cemetery. Mrs. Williams was always a very active, bright woman,
and was one of the charter members of Matilda Rebekah Lodge. She was only confined to her bed for three weeks, though ailing for some
five months past.
During her long residence here she was an active member of the Presbyterian Church, and a devout Christian woman.
