Death of an Old Physician
Dr. William K. Gray, the second eldest physician in
the Oranges, died yesterday at the home of his son,
Dr. Richardson Gray, on Orange street, East Orange,
after an illness of two weeks. Death was caused by a
complication of diseases. Dr. Gray has practised
medicine in East Orange for the past twenty-three
years. He was born in Whippany, N. J., seventy-six
years ago, and after receiving a common school
education entered the College of Physicians and
Surgeons, from which he was graduated forty years ago.
Until he came to East Orange he devoted himself to his
profession in New York City, and there he married Miss
Fanny Grannis in 1845. He is survived by a widow, a
daughter, Mrs. Roderick M. Sanger, of East Orange, and
three sons, Rev. William R. Gray, pastor of a
Methodist church in Dakota City, Neb.; Dr. Richardson
Gray, of East Orange, and Dr. Thomas N. Gray, who is
treasurer of a bicycle corporation in Bridgeport,
Conn. The funeral services will be held at the New
Church, (Swedenborgian), Orange, to-morrow afternoon
at 3 o'clock.

funeral services on Thursday, July 9, at 3 P. M. at
the Church of the New Jerusalem, on Essex avenue,
Orange. Interment in Rosedale Cemetery. [East Orange]
