New Jersey Obituaries - December 1, 1897 - Mrs. Adelaide Briggs

Mrs. Adelaide Briggs died at Oceanport early Sunday morning of apoplexy at the home of her adopted daughter, Mrs. John VanKirk, aged 68 years. She was stricken with the same disease about a year ago and had been in a helpless condition ever since. Her husband died about ten years ago. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at two o'clock form her late home, and the service was conducted by Rev. John Wagg. The body was taken to West Long Branch for burial.
