New Jersey Obituaries - December 1, 1897 - Miss Rebecca Cooper

Miss Rebecca Cooper died at New Monmouth last Sunday morning, aged 75 years. She had been sick only four days and death is supposed to have been caused by heart failure. She had lived in her late home near the New Monmouth Baptist church for the past eighteen years, and previous to that time had lived in various parts of Middletown township. Her only near relatives were the niece with whom she lived and her sister, Mrs. Amanda Swan of Navesink. The funeral was held this morning at ten o'clock from the New Monmouth Baptist church. The service was conducted by Rev. William V. Wilson. The body was taken to Middletown for burial.
