New Jersey Wills - December 1, 1897 - Ex-Judge Higgins

Ex-Judge Higgins bequeathed to his wife, Mrs. Eliza A. Higgins, in addition to her right of dower, all of his household goods and furniture, such books as she should select (except Appleton's Encyclopedia, which he left to his son, Dr. Archibald S. Higgins), his horses, cows, carriages, harness and implements. He left an undivided half of a lot and his other real estate to his wife and the other half-interest in the lot to Dr. A. S. Higgins, to whom he also left three shares of stock in the Freehold and Jamesburg Agricultural railroad. The rest of his personal property he left to his wife. The will was signed on February 10th, 1897, in the presence of Henry A. Curtis, Thomas Gibbert and William T. Conover.
