New Jersey News - December 15, 1897 - Diphtheria at Freehold
|
Diphtheria at Freehold
Four deaths have occurred at Freehold from diphtheria within the past two weeks,
and there are several other cases in the town. Those died are Victor T. Weeden
and Norman Weeden, sons of Gilbert Weeden; Matthew Callahan, son of Edward
Callahan; and Jennie Hurmitt, daughter of Daniel Hurmitt.
The houses where thee occupants are sick with diphtheria have been quarantined, and the board of health says that there is no danger of the disease spreading further.
