New Jersey Obituaries - December 22, 1897 - John W. Hillyer

John W. Hillyer died at Middletown last Friday night at midnight from a paralytic stroke. He was 73 years old (and) was a widower, his wife having died about six years ago. He leaves four children-Mrs. George Evans of Chapel Hill and John, Benjamin and Daniel Hillyer of Middletown. The funeral was held on Monday at one o'clock at the house and at half-past one at the Harmony church. The service was conducted by Rev. J. H. Boyd of Belford and the body was buried at Fair View cemetery.
