New Jersey Obituaries - July 14, 1897 - Mrs. Rebecca (Hance) Macmonagle

Mrs. Rebecca Macmonagle, wife of Charles Macmonnagle, died in New York on Monday night from heart failure. She was born on what is now known as the late John Hone place at Little Silver, and was the daughter of Rebecca Ann and Isaac B. Hance. She was a descendant of the original Hance family, which settled on Rumson Neck over 300 years ago, and of which family there are records in this county dating back to 1672.
Mrs. Macmonagle was 67 years old. She leaves one daughter, Miss Margaret Louise Macmonagle. She also leaves a brother, Isaac A. Hance, who is the only member of that generation now living.
The funeral will be held to-morrow afternoon at Little Silver, at her late residence at that place. The interment will be at the old Rumson burying ground.
Per the Death Notice - Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral, which will be held at her late
residence at Little Silver, on Thursday, July 15th, at two o'clock, P. M.
