New Jersey Obituaries - July 21, 1897 - Miss Ellen H. Nevius

Miss Ellen H. Nevius of Freehold was found dead in bed last Friday morning. She had retired the night before in apparently excellent health. She was about 38 years old and was the daughter of Mrs. Hannah Nevius and a sister of Judge Henry M. Nevius of Red Bank. Her death was caused by heart disease. Miss Nevius's father died of heart disease and his death was as sudden and as unexpected as that of his daughter. The funeral was held on Monday, and the body was buried in the family plot in the old Freehold cemetery.
