Judge Walling's Funeral
The funeral of Judge Alfred Walling, Jr., was held at his home at Keyport last Thursday afternoon at two o'clock. The funeral was private and was attended only by the dead man's relatives. The services were conducted by Rev. H. J. Zelley of Keyport. The pall bearers were Marcus B. Taylor, Garrett S. Jones, John W. Keough, John G. Schanck, and Cornelius Ackerson of Keyport and Stephen V. Arrowsmith of Red Bank.
A number of friends of Mr. Walling from various parts of the county went to Keyport to attend the funeral, but were not admitted to the house as the funeral was strictly private.
In Memory of Judge Walling
Last Wednesday court adjourned at Freehold as a mark of respect to ex-Judge Alfred Walling. Charles H. Ivins of Red Bank, Rens. W. Dayton of Matawan, William H. Vredenburg, Frederick Parker and Frank McDermott of Freehold, Wilbur A. Heisely and H. S. Terhune of Long Branch and David Harvey, Jr., of Asbury Park were appointed a committee to draft resolutions to be submitted at a meeting of the members of the Monmouth county bar to-morrow morning.
