A Matawan Man Drowned
John Mulhall of Matawan was drowned at Newark last week. He was stepping from a scow to a schooner when he lost his balance and fell into the water. Mr. Mulhall clutched at some bricks to save himself from falling and the noise of the falling bricks aroused his companions. When they reached the deck of the schooner they saw nothing but a cap floating on the water. His body was recovered three hours later and was taken to Matawan. Mr. Mulhall was 38 years old.
