New Jersey Obituaries - November 24, 1897 - Eli Conrow

Eli Conrow died at Oceanport on Sunday, aged 68 years. Death was due to general debility and painter's colic. He was a life long resident of Oceanport, except for a few years that he lived in New York. During the past twenty years he had worked at his trade at painting. He was a very expert workman, and for years he had been engaged to paint the boats of the Merchants' steamboat company. A widow and one child survive him. The funeral was held at two o'clock this afternoon from the house and the services were conducted by Rev. John Wagg. The body was buried at West Long Branch.
