New Jersey Wills - November 24, 1897 - Mrs. Hannah Corlies
|
Mrs. Hannah Corlies of Long Branch left all of her property to her husband, Stephen Corlies, for life, he to receive the income from the same. Should any of the property be sold, the proceeds are to be invested and he is to receive the income semi-annually and a portion of the principal if necessary. After his death the will provides that the remainder of the estate is to be divided into five equal parts. One-fifth each is left to the testatrix's sons, George Corlies, Jacob V. Corlies and Stephen H. Corlies, and to her daughter, Mrs. Hannah M. Mawbey. From the other fifth, $100 is to be paid to a granddaughter, Hannah M. Corlies; and the balance will be divided among other grandchildren-Bertie Clark, wife of Fred. Clark; Deborah Burk, wife of Charles Burk; and Hannah Corlies. George Corlies is the executor, and the will was made April 9th, 1897, in the presence of Gertrude B. Noyes and James Maps. On June 10th, 1897, in the presence of the same witnesses, a codicil was made, giving $100 to George Corlies and the same amount to Hannah M. Mawbey.
