Death of Patrick Oakes
Patrick Oakes died at Holmdel at midnight on Monday night of rheumatism of the heart. For forty years he had been employed as foreman on the farm of Chrineyonce S. Holmes. He retired about two years ago, with a fortune estimated at $10,000. He leaves five children. They are Edward Oakes of Atlantic Highlands, John and Thomas Oakes and Mrs. Patrick Hackett of Red Bank; and Miss Kittie Oakes of Holmdel. The funeral will be held at St. Catherine's church at Morrisville tomorrow morning at ten o'clock, and will be conducted by Rev. Thomas A. Roche of Atlantic Highlands.
