New Jersey Obituaries - September 22, 1897 - Benjamin Applegate

Benjamin Applegate of Turkey died of dropsy and Bright's disease last Wednesday, aged 68 years. Mr. Applegate lived at Colt's Neck for many years, where he conducted Laird's sawmill. He afterward moved to Turkey, where he worked at the carpenter trade. He was married twice, his wives being sisters. They were Lydia Ann and Emma Bearmore. He had three children, one of whom is Mrs. Charles Smith of Seabright.
Per the Death Notice Mr. Applegate was aged 68 years, 5 months and 26 days.
