New Jersey Obituaries - September 29, 1897 - Edward M. Fielder

Edward M. Fielder of Asbury Park died on Monday from Bright's disease. He was 42 years old and had lived at Asbury Park since1874. For a time he was engaged in the lumber business at that place. He was an active politician and had several times run for the assembly, but was always defeated. In 1894 he got a position in the New Jersey senate, and held this for two or three years. He failed to get the place again last year and the disappointment is said to have broken his heart. The funeral will be held to-morrow.
