New Jersey Obituaries - April 13, 1898 - Mrs. Mary C. Woodward

Mrs. Mary C. Woodward, widow of the late John Woodward of Red Bank, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Oliver Frake, on River street, last Thursday. Her death was caused by grip and heart trouble. Four weeks ago Mrs. Woodwrd was taken with grip, and though she suffered with heart trouble for years, she was in fairly good health until taken sick with the former disease. Mrs. Woodward was 56 years old. She had lived in Red Bank all her life and had been a member of the First Methodist church for thirty years. She was also a member of the Daughters of Liberty and the family will receive a death benefit of $250 from that lodge. She leaves seven children. They are John Woodward of Fair Haven, Mrs. Albert C. Worden of Forked River, and Mrs. Oliver G. Frake, Mrs. Ada M. Schroeder, Mrs. Joseph Perrine, and Edward Woodward and William Woodward of Red Bank. The funeral was held on Sunday at twelve o'clock from the house and at half-past twelve from the First Methodist church. The service was conducted by Rev. E. C. Hancock and the body was buried at Fair View.
