New Jersey Obituaries - April 20, 1898 - Joseph Maxson, Sr.

Joseph Maxson, Sr., died at Chapel Hill on Friday night after a week's sickness. He was 82 years old and had lived in Middletown township all his life. He was a mason by trade, but during the past few years had not done any work, owing to his advanced age and poor health. He leaves four children, Joseph Maxson of Navesink, William Maxson of Hoboken and Mrs. Belinda Warner and Arden Maxson of Wilkesbarre, Pa. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon from the Navesink Methodist church and the service was conducted by Rev. J. W. Nickleson. The pall bearers were William Bennett, John Vanderveer, Henry Johnson and William Lewis. The burial was at Fair View.
