New Jersey Obituaries - April 20, 1898 - Charles Williams

Charles Williams died at Fair Haven early Monday morning. He was 76 years old and had been complaining for some time, but he did not take to his bed until two days before his death. He was born at Rumson and had lived in Shrewsbury township all his life. For 45 years he was employed by Dr. Ehrick Parmely of Oceanic. He was known among his neighbors as a man whose word was as good as his bond. He leaves four children. They are Mrs. Agnes Aldridge, Miss Julia A. Williams and Nathan J. Williams of Fair Haven, and Augustus Williams of Newark. The funeral was held to-day at half-past one o'clock from Fisk chapel. The service was conducted by Rev. J. H. Morgan. The burial was at White Ridge cemetery at south Eatontown.
