New Jersey Obituaries - August 17, 1898 - John H. Soden
|
John H. Soden died at Fair Haven last Friday of stomach trouble. He was 72 years old, and had been sick about a year. He was born in Middletown township, but had lived almost all his life at Fair Haven, where he was engaged in the oyster business. A widow and four children survive him. The children are Theodore M. and Charles A. Soden of New York, Mrs. Elizabeth Whitlock of Jamesburg, N. J., and Mrs. Evelyn Ingalls of Erma, Cape May County, N. J. The funeral was held on Sunday afternoon at two o'clock from the house and at half-past two from the church. The service was conducted by Rev. Charles E. Hill of Red Bank. The body was buried at Little Silver.
