New Jersey Obituaries - August 24, 1898 - James E. Jones
|
James E. Jones died at Long Branch on Tuesday afternoon from stomach trouble. He was 71 years old and he and his son. E. J. Jones, were partners in a grocery business there. Mr. Jones had lived at Long Branch since 1889. Previous to that time he had been a surfman and a member of the life-saving crew at Cedar Creek. He leaves a widow and four children. The children are Mrs. A. R. Yarnell and A. T. Jones of Bradley Beach; Mrs. George N. Lane of Newark; and E. J. Jones of Long Branch.
