New Jersey Obituaries - August 24, 1898 - Jacob McClane

Jacob McClane died this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Tilton, who lives near Headden's Corner. He had been sick about a week. Mr. McClane was born on the old McClane homestead on the Middletown shore of the river. His wife died about nine years ago and since her death he had made his home with Mrs. Tilton. He was 87 years old and for several years he had been totally blind. Besides Mrs. Tilton, Mr. McClane left one other daughter Mrs. Edward Alley of Headden's Corner. The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon at three o'clock from his late home. The burial will be at Fair View.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday, August 26th, at three o'clock P.M., at the house of Mrs. George Tilton, near Headden's Corner.
Per the Death Notice Mr. McClane was aged 87 years, 8 months and 5 days.
