New Jersey Obituaries - August 24, 1898 - Mrs. Elizabeth Rice Pinion

Mrs. Elizabeth Rice Pinion of Pine Brook, formerly of Fair Haven, died at the Long Branch hospital last Wednesday of paralysis of the brain. She was 65 years old and had been at the hospital about two weeks. Mrs. Pinion was married twice. Her first husband was Gabriel Rice, and by this union they had one child, Abraham Rice, who now lives at Asbury Park. After the death of her first husband she married Rev. John Pinion, who was at one time pastor of the Fair Haven African Methodist church. One daughter was born to them. She is Mrs. Josephine Henson, and she lives at Washington. The funeral was held on Friday from her son's house at Asbury Park. The body was buried at Pine Brook.
