New Jersey Obituaries - December 7, 1898 - Charles P. McFaddin

Charles P. McFaddin of Long Branch died last Friday, having been sick several months. He was stricken with paralysis about a week before his death. Mr. McFaddin was general ticket agent of the Manhattan elevated railroad of New York and he held this position until three months ago. He was born at Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, and was 56 years old. He was a veteran of the civil war, taking part in many of the noted battles. After the war he was employed by the New Jersey Southern railroad company and remained in the company's employ until 1879. Mr. McFaddin was a former commissioner of Long Branch, was a member of the board of trade, and was a member of several Masonic lodges. He leaves a widow and two daughters-Helen Pauline and Frances W. McFaddin. The funeral was held this afternoon and the body was buried at Glenwood cemetery at Long Branch.
