New Jersey Obituaries - December 14, 1898 - Joseph S. Springsteen

Joseph S. Springsteen died at Oceanic on Friday of old age and general debility. He was 81 years old and had been an invalid for several years. He was born at Belford, but had lived at Oceanic most of his life. His wife died several years ago, and since her death he had lived alone. Two daughters survive him. They live in California. The funeral was held on Monday at half-past one o'clock from his late home and at two o'clock from the Presbyterian church. The service was conducted by Rev. S. W. Knipe and Rev. J. E. Parmley. The burial was at the Rumson cemetery.
