New Jersey Obituaries - December 28, 1898 - Mrs. Jennie A. Strickland

Mrs. Jennie A. Strickland, wife of George Strickland of Keyport, died suddenly of apoplexy on Sunday morning of last week. Mrs. Strickland was in her usual health on Saturday night. She played cards with her husband until midnight, and then went to bed laughing and joking. About one o'clock he heard her groaning, and a doctor was at once sent for, but she died an hour later. Mrs. Strickland was 46 years old and was twice married. She was married to her second husband in 1878. She leaves two children by her first husband and four by her second. Three of the children are quite small.
