New Jersey Obituaries - January 19, 1898 - Mrs. Mary C. (Bennett) Lloyd

Mrs. Mary C. Lloyd, wife of John Lloyd, died at her home on Washington street early this morning, after a long sickness. She was born August 20th, 1827, and was the daughter of Elizabeth and Derrick Bennett of Port Washington, N. J. She was married to Mr. Lloyd March 29th, 1860, and besides him she leaves two sons, Frank S. and Nicholas E. Lloyd, both of whom are married and live in Brooklyn. Mrs. Lloyd has been prominent in church and temperance work all her life, and was a member of Grace church and of the Red Bank women's temperance union. The funeral will be held at her late home on Friday afternoon at one o'clock.
