New Jersey Obituaries - June 8, 1898 - Cornelius M. Barkalow

Cornelius M. Barkalow of Freehold died of typhoid fever last Thursday night. He was sixty years old. Mr. Barkalow was a son of Matthias Barkalow and was born near Freehold. He was employed as a pattern maker in the iron foundry at Freehold and had held this position for fifteen years. Mr. Barkalow married Miss Deborah Chamber of Freehold, and she, with five children, survives him. The children are William A., Cornelius B. and Henry H. Barkalow of Freehold, Mrs. James M. Hampton of Jamesburg and Jeffrey Barkalow of Camden. The funeral was held on Monday and the services were conducted by Rev. C. B. Fisher.
