New Jersey Obituaries - June 15, 1898 - Mrs. Sarah (Applegate) Swan

Mrs. Sarah Swan, wife of John B. Swan of Atlantic Highlands, died on Sunday night. About two weeks ago she was stricken with paralysis, and it was this which caused her death. She was the daughter of the late Reuben Applegate of Shrewsbury. A husband and three children survive her. The children are Mrs. Frank A. Morehouse, Frank B. Swan, and an unmarried daughter, all of Atlantic Highlands. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at half-past one o'clock from the house. The service was conducted by Rev. Percy Perinchief. The body was buried at Bay View cemetery.
